Abstract

The "Marriage Is Scary" phenomenon is growing among Generation Z, along with the increasing number of reports
of domestic violence (DV) and affairs circulating on social media. The information presented not only serves as a
source of knowledge but also shapes negative views of the institution of marriage. This study aims to examine the
effects of reporting on domestic violence and infidelity on social media platforms on the fear of marriage among
Generation Z. The method used was a qualitative approach using literature research techniques using bibliometric analysis. The findings indicate that high consumption of negative content related to marriage can increase anxiety, distrust of one's partner, and fear of marital failure.
