Journal Social and Humanities Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original research articles, review papers, and scholarly discussions in the fields of social sciences and humanities. By encouraging rigorous scholarly inquiry and diverse methodological approaches, the journal seeks to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the development of innovative perspectives in social and humanities research. The Journal Social and Humanities Studies is published by Yayasan Karya Ilmiah Nusantara in collaboration with the Association of Pancasila and Civic Education Professionals of Indonesia (Asosiasi Profesi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Indonesia / AP3KNI) under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The Journal Social and Humanities Studies invites academics, researchers, practitioners, and students to submit original and previously unpublished manuscripts addressing the journal's focus and scope, which includes: Character Education; Citizenship; Civic Education; Critical Pedagogy; Cultural Identity; Curriculum Development; Democracy; Digital Literacy; Gender Equality; Governance; Human Rights; Public Policy; Social Justice; Social Media; Sustainable Development; and other interdisciplinary studies within the social sciences and humanities. Submissions should reflect critical perspectives on contemporary social, cultural, educational, political, economic, and historical issues.

The Journal Social and Humanities Studies was first published in 2023 with a publication frequency of twice per year. Each year, the journal adopts a distinct thematic focus for its issues; therefore, authors are expected to align their manuscripts with the theme designated by the editorial board.

Since 2026, the Journal Social and Humanities Studies has been operating on Open Journal Systems (OJS) Version 3, accessible at https://journals.karyanusa.org/index.php/jshs, and is currently in the process of obtaining both an online e-ISSN and a print p-ISSN.
